The Giles Practice

Committed To Helping You

Welcome

Hello, my name is Phil Giles and thank you for visiting The Giles Practice website. You’ve taken the first step towards finding the help and support you need whatever your particular presenting problem might be. We will do our very best to give you the personal, professional service you would expect in a safe, non-judgmental and completely confidential environment.

We are a growing, progressive practice offering both short and long term therapy – face-to-face for those clients who are able to attend in person or worldwide via Zoom, Skype or WhatsApp Video at a mutually convenient time, 6 days a week.

I am fully qualified and a registered member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy and the National Council of Integrative Psychotherapists, working within prescribed ethical frameworks for your complete peace of mind.

Our hourly rates are competitive with no hidden charges. We offer an introductory 30-minute (or 60-minute) assessment session from just £35 (60-minute Trauma/PTSD, Relationship (Couples) or BPD/EUPD assessment for £70), either in person or by Telephone, Zoom, Skype, Teams or WhatsApp Video to find out whether therapy is the right option for you. After your assessment, you can make an informed decision about whether you wish to continue – there is no obligation to do so.

If you decide to proceed, you will be able to make an appointment for your first 50 minute session (or 60 minute session depending on the type of therapy). This can be conveniently and securely paid for using a variety of methods detailed on our ‘Fees’ page.

Please take the time to explore our site, which hopefully will answer any questions you may have about what to expect and what is expected of you during the therapeutic process. Alternatively, simply click the Email Me button, include your details and we will respond personally within 24 hours.

We very much look forward to helping you.

About Us

I have been a practising Counsellor and Psychotherapist since 2007 and hold a number of United Kingdom qualifications all of which can be viewed at the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy.

What Can I Expect From Therapy?

Both Counselling (and the more in-depth Psychotherapy) are known as ‘talking therapies’ delivered by a trained practitioner who will work with you over a short or long period of time to bring about change and or to enhance wellbeing.

Zoom/Skype Therapy - How Does It Work?

Finding the right therapist can often be difficult. Location, availability and cost are all factors that will have an impact on your choice. However, recent advances in communication technology have given you, the client, a far bigger say in how you receive therapy.

Group Therapy Sessions

Group Therapy can often be extremely helpful in Counselling & Psychotherapy. It enables people who are experiencing the same problems, which could be anxiety, depression, bereavement or anger issues, to share those problems and to understand that they are not alone.
